Banana Chip Muffins from Kraft

Hello world,

A few weeks ago at my boyfriend's house, I was treated with some cute tasty homemade Banana Chip Muffins! An original Kraft Recipe, these little muffins were moist, and full of chocolate flavour. One would thing that made them different from typical banana bread flavour is that they have a very doughy banana taste. It almost tasted like a banana cake with more density and moisture inside. The bananas really give them a full charge of flavour, and for and even bigger flavour experience, a walnut was added on the top. The walnut made them ultimate banana-nut muffin experience. Once the muffins were out of the oven, I smeared butter all inside them. It wasn't the most healthiest of choices, but it sure was delicious.

This is a photo of the muffin fresh out to the oven without the butter.
Now for the good stuff, I am going to include the recipe for this tasty little muffins because they're easy to make and delicious.

"1. Prep Time: 10 -30 minutes

Birthday Churro Experience

Hello everyone!
So this past week was my birthday ! It was an excellent time with laughs, friends and of course FOOD! I got to try one of the best desserts...Churros! The Restaurant La Cantra Taqueria in Toronto specializes in Mexican food, and for dessert they offer the best churros I have ever had. The Churro's were long long in length and came with a little bowl of apple caramel  de leche sauce. I have never tasted anything so wonderful in my life. I'm not a huge fan of caramel de leche, but somehow this restaurant managed to make an excellent sauce. Typically de leche sauce is all caramel and thick, this sauce was warm, milky and had an apple flavour in the caramel. The Churro dipped in that sauce would melt in your mouth with every bite , they were very generous with the sauce which is always a plus. The churros were fried to perfection and very full in cinnamon flavour.

The next night I went out for a family birthday dinner to Oliver and  Bonacini. After the main course, I was scanning through their dessert menu and low and behold they had Churros! So I ordered the them to make a comparison and because I enjoyed the ones from the night before. The Churros were okay. They were smaller in length , a lot more fried and coated in cinnamon sugar. They were also very sweet and came with regular de leche sauce. I did like them, but I enjoyed the ones from La Cantra Taqueria much more. I felt the focus s was more in the presentation more so then the taste and flavour.  I still did enjoy the Churros though! It was a great part to my birthday week, just spending time with family and friends.

Chocolate Fudge Cake

Hello everyone!

This here is my first blog post for the semester , and I'm super excited to tell my stories about all the desserts, and sweet treats I eat . So the month of January is an exciting month in my household , just because we celebrate two birthdays. Birthdays mean celebration, celebration means food ,and food means cake! Everyone love cake, at least I do. Last weekend there was a birthday celebration at my house which included a Chocolate Fudge cake from Longo's Supermarket.

In the past I have had Longo's cakes and they always look fancy and are full of flavour. This chocolate fudge cake was no different. The cake was circular shaped, medium sized ,and had lots of icing around the edges. The icing was bursting with chocolate flavour , and it almost melted in your mouth during each bite.  The cake was very good, however I found that the chocolate flavour was a little too rich for my liking. I love chocolate and I love cake, yet it wasn't the best cake I've had. However, it was still tasty and everyone else in my household enjoyed it because it was gone within a day!

This here is a piece of the cake I took when it was Dessert time. See how thick the icing is? Lots of chocolate . Yummy!
As for next week , it is my birthday and I will be enjoying many celebrations this weekend which will include more reviews and stories in my Diary of Desserts.

Stay tuned for more!
